You can't look at the picture and NOT say this salad ain't sexy! Go ahead...I'LL WAIT!!!!
While I'm waiting, I guess I can tell you how to prepare it. Keep in mind that any and all of the ingredients I used are optional. You can pretty much tweak it how you like. Spinach is a good salad medium to use because it's texture is not so rough and the taste is not so overpowering or bland. It kind of absorbs other ingredients well...well anyways, here goes:
What I used:
Organic Spinach
Strawberries (sliced...I use an egg slicer to slice mine)
Red Onion (chopped)
Mushrooms (chopped)
Turkey Bacon (made my own bacon bits out of actual turkey bacon...cooked it in my toaster over for about 20-25 minutes, til it was as crisp as I liked it and then crumpled it up)
Hard Boiled Egg (cut into chunks)
Cooked Salad Shrimp
Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese (just a sprinkle!)
A vinaigrette of your choice! (I usually use the Reduced Fat Berry Balsamic from Chick-Fil-a...they charge me for the dressing, but it's sooooo worth it, if I don't get one I use a Raspberry or Strawberry Balsamic dressing, I've also used Parmesan Asiago Balsamic...it's all up to you!)
Directions for assembly:
You don't have to use ALL of the ingredients in one salad. I switch it up, and depending on what kind of morning I have, will depend on if I have time to make my turkey bacon bits. For the most part, add the spinach, chopped red onion, strawberries, mushrooms, bacon bits...all of the ingredients you prefer and top with 1 serving size of your dressing. The good thing about this salad is that it's very flavorful, so you don't need to empty the bottle in the entree! A little will go a long way!
