Waffle Fries and Vodka

My weaknesses.

I love love love the waffle fries from Chick-fil-a. I don't buy them for myself, but if my daughter does not finish hers, I am all over them! Vodka??!!! Don't get me started on vodka. I have given up mixed drinks, but I will take shots of vodka like it's water. Only on the weekends, though. My trainer is putting her foot down on my diet right now, and I'm slightly saddened by this.

She said I could start after spring break, but I figured that there was no point in delaying the inevitable. So I had my last drink last Saturday. It's really not that bad, no drinking. I stayed home last night and got a ton of stuff done, laundry being the main thing.

We all have weaknesses, when it comes to changing our diet and lifestyle. You have to figure out if the sacrifice is worth the reward. Alcohol is not a necessity for my body to function, and it also causes other health problems. So, I may feel sad about it now, but in the long run my future self will thank me for it. Now those fries...it's pretty easy for me to avoid them. Just don't buy them!

I also struggle with going to the gym, believe it or not. It's just that now that my body is in the routine of going, I can make it to the gym 5 to 6 times a week. But there are days that I go and my attitude is bad, or I just really want to go home and get in the bed, or I just flat out don't feel like breaking a sweat. I drag my behind in the gym though. Rain or shine. By the time I finish my workout, my attitude has changed and I am so proud of myself for pushing through. It doesn't take anything to do nothing, but it takes everything to do something! Push yourself, because no one else is going to. No one else is obligated. Do it for you, do it because God says we need to take care of our "temples", do it for your family. Find a reason, embed it in your brain and DO IT!!!
