Ok, this post probably won't be long but here goes...
My trainer demanded that I keep a food journal between my visit. I know I am really bad about writing stuff down, but I saw somewhere where someone was using their smart phone to take a picture of what they were eating instead.
I had a "light bulb" moment. That is a brilliant idea.
It's really a win-win situation. I don't have to measure, and I can show her exactly what I am eating. It's good even if you don't have to show someone else. I suggest you try it, and hold yourself accountable for your actions. If nothing else, it will make you think twice about what you put in your mouth. I have turned down so much food simply because I didn't want to take a picture of it.
Then, too, when I flip back through the pictures on my phone and see all of the stuff I am putting in my body, it brings new meaning to "a picture is worth a thousand words".
Think about it. You really are what you eat. Your body replenishes itself off of the nutrients from the food that you eat. If you are constantly putting unhealthy, grease laced foods into your body, no wonder you look like a bucket of lard. I'm not calling YOU a bucket of lard, but I'm just saying. Take a look at what you are feeding your body. A fit, lean body is not solely built in the gym, it starts in your kitchen.
